Getting To and Around the Bodrum Peninsula

The Bodrum peninsula is found on the south-west coast of Turkey. To the south is the Turquoise coastline while to the west and north is the Aegean Sea. Bodrum is serviced by Milas-Bodrum International Airport which is about 40 mins drive from Bodrum Town along the D330 highway.

The Bodrum peninsula is a popular holiday destination because of its location, climate, amenities and easy access. Airlines and tour companies servicing Bodrum include easyJet, First Choice, Thomson, Thomas Cook, Gold Trail, Pegasus, Aegean Airlines and many more.

Popular locations on the Bodrum peninsula include Bodrum Town, Turgutreis, Yalikavak, Gumusluk, Gundogan, Torba, Gulluk and Tuzla Lake where the new golf area is located. Flamingo Country Club - where our apartment is located - can be found on the map (top right) at Bogazici. If you choose Hybrid view then you can see the lake area. Flamingo country club is practically on the B of Bogazici. Vita Park Golf Resort - Bodrum's finest golf course - is located just to the south of the lake. From here it is an easy and beautiful 30mins drive to Bodrum town.

From Bodrum Town you can travel to other parts of Turkey and to all the major towns and villages around the peninsula using the Turkish Dolmush. Travel is easy, enjoyable, cheap and a great way to see the sights. Each trip costs just a few Turkish Lira.
